Nonresident Snowmobile Permits
Nonresidents who plan to ride their snowmobiles in Montana must purchase a Snowmobile Nonresident Temporary Use Permit for $25 per machine.
Nonresidents OHV Permits
Nonresidents with OHVs that are not registered in their home state must purchase an OHV Nonresident Temporary Use Permit that is valid for the calendar year. Permits are $5 and available from FWP offices, Hi Mountain Recreation, and some County Treasurers Offices (please call the Country Treasurers Office in your county).
Wyoming
Wyoming law requires that all snowmobiles must have either a current Wyoming Resident or Nonresident user fee decal prominently displayed on the outside of each snowmobile. Resident & Nonresident Snowmobile Permits
Each permit is twenty-five dollars and may be purchased at one of the several Permit Selling Agents located throughout the state.
Nonresidents ORV Permits
Effective January 1, 2002, the owner of an off-road recreational vehicle (ORV) that will be operated on designated ORV trails and areas within Wyoming must purchase an annual registration user fee at a cost of $15.
